Cynthia (Cindy) Picciano is an Executive Recruiter and Human Resources Consultant with Ability Professional Network. Cindy brings over 30 years of Human Resources and Operations Management experience across multiple industries including information technology, financial services, manufacturing, and education. Her proven expertise includes leading Talent Acquisition and Talent Management at small, entrepreneurial companies of 50 – 250 employees, as well as larger global organizations of 2,500-10,000 employees. She is passionate about finding the BEST match between hiring organizations and candidates so that the relationship is highly successful for both parties!
Before joining APN Cindy was the Executive Director of Human Resources for Columbus City Schools (CCS), the largest school district in the state of Ohio. During her 6 years there, she was responsible for managing all human resource functions for an employee base of 9000+. Prior to that Cindy worked for Sterling Commerce, an AT&T Inc. subsidiary and one of the world’s largest providers of multi-enterprise collaboration software and services. During her 11 year tenure she had increasingly responsible roles, culminating in the top Human Resources position as Vice President, Global HR. In addition to these leadership roles, Cindy worked in the information technology, financial services and manufacturing industries for 18 years where she held senior management positions with Entek Scientific Corporation; Information Dimensions, Inc.; and Investor Life Services (a subsidiary of USF&G Insurance Co.) and worked in the Engineering Division for the Procter & Gamble Company.
Cindy has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from The Ohio State University. In addition she is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) where she holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification; the Human Capital Institute (HCI) where she holds the Human Capital Strategist (HCS) Certification, the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) where she is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), and the Ohio Recruiters Association.
